9/28/2008--Reported to House amended. Halting Airplane Noise to Give Us Peace Act of 2008 - Prohibits any individual (except flight crew members, flight attendants, or federal law enforcement officers) from engaging in voice communications using a mobile communications device on a passenger aircraft during a flight. Directs the Secretary of Transportation to require all domestic and foreign air carriers to adopt this prohibition. Authorizes the Secretary to waive this prohibition for air carriers of foreign countries that have negotiated an alternative prohibition on voice communications using such devices during a flight.

Because the U.S. Congress posts most legislative information online one legislative day after events occur, GovTrack is usually one legislative day behind. For more information about where this data comes from, see About GovTrack.us.
