Oct 23, 2008 9:56 PM - I am a little confused about this Act, does it apply to organizations? Origninally, as proposed, the Act was to expand identity theft crimes to include offenses against organizations. However, this language was left out of the final version. Does this mean that every other part applies to organizations (crimes damaging more than 10 computers are a felony, organizations can recover for the time they spend rectifying the damages, etc...), just that organizations cannot recover in instances in which someone impersonates them? Also, has the term protected computer essentially been amended to include any computer connected to the internet? - Read Answers
