the bill you are looking for is the cash for clunkers bill. The one shown above is a voucher for everyone, not just for those dumping an older car. Answered by a visitor on Jun 4, 2009 2:11 PM -
if i turn in my old cluncker and buy an enery saving car do i get a deduction off the cost of the new car ?? Jun 3, 2009 11:01 AM - I need a new car, but now I'll wait and see if this bill passes, unless of course it will be retroactine...Will it be retroactive, and how far back? -

Currently, the language of the bill doesn't contain anything about being retroactive. Also, it's already June, and the program will not open until 30 days after the bill passes, and Congress will be taking a recess fairly soon. |
