May 9, 2009 6:41 PM - Where does the bill define gender identity, especially as excluding pedophelia or specifying things that don't include pedophelia? -

An amendment was introduced in committee to specifically exclude things like incest and pedophilia from the definition of sexual orientation, but the amendment was defeated. Thus, the members who voted down the amendment clearly want pedophilia to be considered a protected sexual orientation. Answered by a visitor on Jul 4, 2009 12:14 AM -
The addition of the amendment wasn't warranted, all of those things you list are ILLEGAL and are paraphilias, Paraphilias are a part of impulse control disorders they fall within the spectrum of obsessive-compulsive disorders. Therefore these ARE NOT considered sexual orientations. http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/291419-overview Aug 1, 2009 4:01 PM - If the House passed this bill, can the passage of both this bill and a similar bill in the Senate (S909 under S1390) be used to make it law even though they are not the same exact bill number? -
