Nov 23, 2009 3:10 PM - I am am a federal employee, adopting a baby due in May 2010. If the bill passes will I be authorized to take advantage of the paid leave in June 2010; 6 months from December (if approved) even if I have started my unpaid leave in May? -
Answer it!Nov 29, 2009 11:05 PM - I am currently a federal employee who has a child who has been in my home as foster child since March of 2008 but I am now going to adopt the child in or around April of 2010. Would we fall under this new regulation? -

No. It plainly states that this law would be effective SIX months AFTER the President signs it. |
