Apr 28, 2009 8:47 PM - I have a 1st mortgage that exceeds the value of my residence. I have a hefty 2nd mortgage as well. Do I have to wait for the bill to become law, or can I do something about that under the present law? -

If your first mortgage consumes all of your equity then it is possible to strip off your second mortgage under current bankruptcy law. You should probably consult with a seasoned bankruptcy attorney as the rules change from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Jul 31, 2009 3:52 PM - Will this bill cover mortgages soon to be getting a foreclosure? -
