This bill is in the first step in the legislative process. Introduced
bills and resolutions first go to committees that deliberate, investigate, and revise
them before they go to general debate. The majority of bills and resolutions never make it out of committee.

May 13, 2009 10:39 PM - So why wasn't all this included in the Omnibus? Do they really need to protect "our land" from us? -

We have plenty of protected land in Utah, these areas are holding up well under the current system. I visit and enjoy many of these areas on a regular basis. Why don't those eastern politicians protect their own states. Answered by a visitor on Jan 10, 2010 12:22 PM -
[From the moderator: This response presents one user's opinion.] How much land is "good enough?" Is there value to wilderness areas, or is it more important to extract natural resources and support recreational activities that are destructive to the environment? If you don't have an appreciation of saving wild areas, then this act is a waste of effort. There are, however, others of us who do have an intense appreciation of preserving undeveloped land, and think this is a good idea. Oct 2, 2009 11:31 AM - Why are none of the Utah representatives supporting this bill? Do special interests have an influence perhaps? -
