CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICE Peter R. Orszag, Director
U.S. Congress
Washington, DC 20515
August 7, 2007
Honorable James L. Oberstar
Chairman
Committee on Transportation
and Infrastructure
U.S. House of Representatives
Washington, DC 20515
Dear Mr. Chairman:
The Congressional Budget Office has reviewed the following bills as ordered
reported by the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure on
August 2, 2007:
• H.R. 2728, a bill to designate the station of the United States Border
Patrol located at 25762 Madison Avenue in Murrieta, California, as the
“Theodore L. Newton, Jr. and George F. Azrak Border Patrol Station”;
and
• H.R. 2671, a bill to designate the United States courthouse located at
301 North Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida, as the “C. Clyde Atkins
United States Courthouse.”
CBO estimates that enactment of those bills would have no significant impact
on the federal budget and would not affect direct spending or revenues. Those
bills contain no intergovernmental or private-sector mandates as defined in the
Unfunded Mandates Reform Act and would impose no costs on state, local, or
tribal governments. If you wish further details on this estimate, we will be
pleased to provide them. The CBO staff contact is Matthew Pickford.
Sincerely,
Peter R. Orszag
