A BILL
To amend title 18, United States Code, with respect to the ‘three strikes’ life sentence.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 3559(c) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:
‘(8) For purposes of paragraph (1), an individual who is adjudicated a juvenile delinquent in a juvenile proceeding for conduct that would be a serious violent felony or a serious drug offense if that conduct were engaged in by an adult, shall be deemed to be convicted of that serious violent felony or serious drug offense, but only with respect to one such adjudication.’.
