A BILL
To revise the boundaries of Fort Matanzas National Monument in the State of Florida to include additional land and to authorize the acquisition of the land, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. EXPANSION OF BOUNDARIES, FORT MATANZAS NATIONAL MONUMENT, FLORIDA.
(a) BOUNDARY REVISIONS- The boundaries of the Fort Matanzas National Monument in the State of Florida are revised to include an area totaling approximately 70 acres, as generally depicted on the map entitled ‘Fort Matanzas National Monument’, numbered 347/80,004, and dated February 1991.
(b) AVAILABILITY OF MAP- The map referred to in subsection (a) shall be on file and available for public inspection in the appropriate offices of the National Park Service.
(c) LAND ACQUISITION AUTHORITY- In the area included within the boundaries of the Fort Matanzas National Monument by subsection (a), the Secretary of the Interior may acquire land, water, or interests in land only by--
(1) donation;
(2) purchase with donated or appropriated funds;
(3) transfer from any other Federal agency; or
(4) exchange.
(d) ADMINISTRATION- Subject to applicable laws, land, water, and interests in land acquired by the Secretary of the Interior under subsection (c) shall be administered by the Secretary as part of the Fort Matanzas National Monument.
(e) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS- There are authorized to be appropriated such sums as are necessary to carry out this section.
