Mr. BEGICH (for himself and Ms. MURKOWSKI) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources


A BILL

To exempt National Forest System land in the State of Alaska from the Roadless Area Conservation Rule.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. ROADLESS AREA CONSERVATION RULE EXEMPTION.

    The Roadless Area Conservation Rule established under part 294 of title 36, Code of Federal Regulations (and successor regulations), does not apply with respect to any National Forest System land in the State of Alaska.
