9/16/1986--Passed House amended. (Measure passed House, amended) Amends Federal Law to remove certain restrictions placed upon the authority of the Secretary of Transportation to grant releases from any terms contained in the deed of conveyance transferring Federal property to Algona, Iowa, for airport purposes. (Current law requires that any amount received by the city for conveyance of such property will be used for public airport purposes.) Authorizes the Secretary to grant releases from the terms of such deed to the extent necessary to permit the city of Algona to convey part of the airport land to the Iowa National Guard for the construction of a National Guard armory.
