ORDERS FOR FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 AND MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2007 -- (Senate - September 12, 2007)<p><center><pre>[Page: S. 11518]

Sen. Harry Reid [D-NV]: Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it stand in recess until 9:45 a.m. Friday, September 14; that on Friday, the Senate conduct a pro forma session only with no business conducted; that at the close of the pro forma session, the Senate stand adjourned until 2 p.m., Monday, September 17; that on Monday, following the prayer and the pledge, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the morning hour be deemed expired and the time for the two leaders reserved for their use later in the day; that there then be a period of morning business until 3 p.m., with Senators permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each, with the time equally divided and controlled between the two leaders or their designees; that at 3 p.m., the Senate resume consideration of H.R. 1585, the Department of Defense authorization bill.
