FAA REAUTHORIZATION ACT OF 2007--MOTION TO PROCEED -- (Senate - April 24, 2008)<p><center><pre>[Page: S. 3411]
Sen. Harry Reid [D-NV]:
Mr. President, I move to proceed to Calendar No. 383, H.R. 2881, the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2007, and I send a cloture motion to the desk.
Chair: The cloture motion having been presented under rule XXII, the Chair directs the clerk to read the motion.
The legislative clerk read as follows:
Cloture Motion
We, the undersigned Senators, in accordance with the provisions of rule XXII of the Standing Rules of the Senate, do hereby move to bring to a close the debate on the motion to proceed to Calendar No. 383, H.R. 2881, the FAA reauthorization bill:
Sen. Harry Reid [D-NV]:
Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that on Monday, April 28, the Senate resume consideration of the motion to invoke cloture at 4:30, with the time until 5:30 equally divided and controlled between the two leaders or their designees; and that at 5:30 the Senate proceed to vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R. 2881, with the mandatory quorum call being waived.
