Each state elects two senators to the U.S. Congress. Senators server for six year terms and one-third of the senators are up for election every two years.
There are 435 congressional districts in the United States, each electing one representative to the U.S. House of Representatives for two-year terms. Each district comprises around 600,000 people.
These are the districts in each state's upper legislature, usually the State Senate, or equivalent. District maps are as of 2006.
These are the districts in each state's lower legislature, usually the State House or Assembly, or equivalent. District maps are as of 2006.
