Summary

Legislative Counsel's Digest: Existing law confers the powers of a peace officer upon certain personnel of the Department of Public Safety, including personnel assigned in a sworn position to any division of the Department whose principal duty is to enforce one or more laws of this State, and any person promoted from such a duty to a supervisory position related to such a duty. (NRS 289.270) This bill removes the requirement that such personnel have a principal duty to enforce one or more laws of this State.
