A BILL

To amend the Technology-Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities Act of 1988 to authorize appropriations for each of the fiscal years 1994 through 1998.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. AUTHORIZATIONS OF APPROPRIATIONS.

    (a) GRANTS TO STATES- Section 106(a) of the Technology-Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities Act of 1988 (29 U.S.C. 2216(a)) is amended--

      (1) by striking ‘1989 and’ and inserting ‘1989,’; and

      (2) by inserting before the period the following: ‘, and such sums as may be necessary for each succeeding fiscal year ending before October 1, 1998’.

    (b) PROGRAMS OF NATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE- Section 241 of the Technology-Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities Act of 1988 (29 U.S.C. 2271) is amended--

      (1) in subsection (a)--

        (A) by striking ‘1989 and’ and inserting ‘1989,’, and

        (B) by inserting before the period the following: ‘, and such sums as may be necessary for each of the fiscal years 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998’; and

      (2) in subsection (b)--

        (A) by striking ‘1989 and’ and inserting ‘1989,’, and

        (B) by inserting before the period the following: ‘, and such sums as may be necessary for each of the fiscal years 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998’.
