A BILL

To authorize Escambia County, Florida, to convey certain lands in Florida to a political subdivision of the State of Florida.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. AUTHORIZATION OF CONVEYANCE TO POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF STATE OF FLORIDA.

    Notwithstanding the provision in the Act of July 30, 1946 (Chapter 699; 60 Stat. 712) that the lands described in such Act may be conveyed by Escambia County, Florida, only by lease or to the Federal Government, the State of Florida, or an agency of the State of Florida, the lands described in such Act may be conveyed by Escambia County, Florida, to a political subdivision of the State of Florida.

SEC. 2. ACTIONS BY SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR.

    Within 6 months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Interior shall execute and file in the appropriate office the appropriate deed and other appropriate instruments, if any, necessary to allow the conveyance authorized in section 1.
