A BILL
To require the Secretary of State to publish the names of United States citizens who renounce their citizenship.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. PUBLICATION OF NAMES OF INDIVIDUALS WHO RENOUNCE UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP.
- (a) IN GENERAL- Notwithstanding any other provision of law, not later than 30 days after the close of each calendar quarter ending after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of State shall publish in the Federal Register the names of each United States citizen who renounced such citizenship, or otherwise ceased to be such a citizen, during such quarter.
- (b) RENUNCIATIONS ON OR AFTER JANUARY 1, 1995, INCLUDED IN FIRST PUBLICATION- The publication under subsection (a) for the first calendar quarter ending after the date of the enactment of this Act shall include the names of each United States citizen who renounced such citizenship, or otherwise ceased to be such a citizen, on or after January 1, 1995, and before such calendar quarter.
