Extends through December 31, 1998, the authority of the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to:
(1) establish the fees to be charged to eligible veterans for housing loans guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (guaranteed loans);
(2) guarantee loans made to veterans for energy efficiency improvements;
(3) guarantee the payment of principal and interest in a pool of mortgage loans made in connection with the sale of Department-guaranteed properties;
(4) carry out real property appraisals in connection with the guaranteed loan program; and
(5) carry out a program providing housing assistance for homeless veterans.
Extends through FY 1998 the Secretary's authority to carry out a demonstration program providing adjustable rate mortgages for guaranteed loans.
