A BILL

To provide for a land exchange between the Ironton Country Club of Ironton, Ohio, and the Secretary of Agriculture involving Wayne National Forest.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. LAND EXCHANGE, WAYNE NATIONAL FOREST, OHIO.

    (a) CONVEYANCE AUTHORIZED- Subject to subsection (c), the Secretary of Agriculture may convey to the Ironton Country Club of Ironton, Ohio, (in this section referred to as the ‘Country Club’), all right, title, and interest of the United States in and to two parcels of real property (including any improvements thereon) consisting of a total of approximately 141 acres located in Elizabeth Township, Lawrence County, Ohio, and comprising a portion of Wayne National Forest. The conveyance shall be subject to valid existing rights regarding the parcel.

    (b) CONSIDERATION- As consideration for the conveyance of the real property under subsection (a), the Country Club shall convey to the United States a parcel of real property (including any improvements thereon) consisting of approximately 134 acres located in Mason Township, Lawrence County, Ohio. The conveyance shall be subject to valid existing rights regarding the parcel.

    (c) CONDITION ON EXCHANGE- The Secretary may make the conveyance authorized under subsection (a) only if--

      (1) the fair market value of the real property to be received by the Secretary under subsection (b) is equal to or greater than the fair market value of the real property to be conveyed under subsection (a), as determined by appraisals satisfactory to the Secretary; or

      (2) the Country Club agrees to pay to the Secretary the difference between the fair market values if the fair market value of the real property to be received by the Secretary under subsection (b) is lower than the fair market value of the property to be conveyed by the Secretary.

    (d) DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY- The exact acreage and legal description of the real property to be conveyed under this section shall be determined by a survey satisfactory to the Secretary and the Country Club. The cost of the survey shall be borne by the Secretary.

    (e) ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS- The Secretary may require such additional terms and conditions in connection with the conveyances under this section as the Secretary considers appropriate to protect the interests of the United States.
