A BILL

To provide for the modification of the reversionary interest retained by the United States as part of the conveyance of certain real property to Lawrence County, Ohio.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. MODIFICATION OF REVERSIONARY INTEREST REGARDING USE OF PREVIOUSLY CONVEYED PROPERTY IN LAWRENCE COUNTY, OHIO.

    (a) MODIFICATION REQUIRED- With the agreement of the Board of Lawrence County Commissioners, the Secretary of the Interior shall modify, without consideration, the reversionary interest of the United States in the real property described in subsection (b) to permit use of the property for the operation of a senior center in addition to public park and recreational uses.

    (b) DESCRIPTION- The real property referred to in subsection (a) is a parcel of real property consisting of approximately 15.41 acres located in Fayette Township, Lawrence County, Ohio, which was originally conveyed by the Secretary of the Interior to the Board of Lawrence County Commissioners pursuant to section 203(k)(2) of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 (40 U.S.C. 484(k)(2)).

    (c) INSTRUMENT OF RELEASE- The Secretary shall execute and file in the appropriate office or offices an amended deed or other appropriate instrument effectuating the modification of the reversionary interest under this section.

    (d) TIME FOR MODIFICATION- The modification of the reversionary interest required under this section shall not take effect until January 1, 1997.
