Mr. MCDADE introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Agriculture


A BILL

To provide for a temporary increase in the basic formula price for milk of the highest use classification under Federal milk marketing orders.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. TEMPORARY INCREASE IN BASIC FORMULA PRICE FOR CLASS I MILK.

    During the six-month period beginning on the first day of the first month beginning on or after the date of the enactment of this Act, the basic formula price for milk of the highest use classification under Federal milk marketing orders issued under section 8c of the Agricultural Adjustment Act (7 U.S.C. 608c), reenacted with amendments by the Agricultural Marketing Agreement Act of 1937, shall be not less than $14.50.
