Mr. MOYNIHAN introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources


A BILL

To redesignate Great Kills Park in the Gateway National Recreation Area as ‘World War II Veterans Park at Great Kills’.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. DESIGNATION OF PORTION OF GATEWAY NATIONAL RECREATION AREA AS WORLD WAR II VETERANS PARK AT GREAT KILLS.

    Section 3(b) of Public Law 92-592 (16 U.S.C. 460cc-2(b)) is amended--

      (1) by inserting ‘(1)’ after ‘(b)’; and

      (2) by adding at the end the following new paragraph:

      ‘(2) The portion of the Staten Island Unit of the recreation area known as Great Kills Park is hereby redesignated as ‘World War II Veterans Park at Great Kills’. Any reference to Great Kills Park in any law, regulation, map, document, record, or other paper of the United States shall be considered to be a reference to ‘World War II Veterans Park at Great Kills’.’.
