Mr. UNDERWOOD introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Armed Services


A BILL

To authorize the establishment of a National Guard of the Northern Mariana Islands.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. NATIONAL GUARD OF NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS.

    (a) ORGANIZATION- Section 101(1) of title 32, United States Code, is amended by inserting ‘, the Northern Mariana Islands,’ after ‘Guam’.

    (b) PAY AND ALLOWANCES- Section 101 of title 37, United States Code, is amended in paragraphs (7) and (9) by inserting ‘the Northern Mariana Islands,’ after ‘the Canal Zone,’.
