Mr. KERNS introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Government Reform


A BILL

To repeal the law banning firearms in the District of Columbia.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. REPEAL OF LAW BANNING FIREARMS IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.

    The Firearms Control Regulations Act of 1975 (D.C. Law 1-85; sec. 7-2501.01 et seq., D.C. Official Code) is hereby repealed, and any provisions of law amended or repealed by such Act are restored and revived as if such Act had not been enacted.
