Safe Treatments and Opportunities to Prevent Pain Act or the STOP Pain Act
This bill authorizes the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to intensify and coordinate NIH research into the understanding of pain, therapies for chronic pain, and alternatives to opioids (drugs with effects similar to opium) for pain treatments.
