H.R. 2422 authorizes $18 million in each of the fiscal years 2018 through 2022 the oral health promotion and disease prevention programs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and expands initiatives to enhance oral health education and community-wide dental disease prevention. The bill also authorizes $13.9 million in each of the fiscal years 2018 through 2022 for the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Grants to States to Support Oral Health Workforce Activities, which aim to increase access to dental care in underserved communities.
