                                                                       To authorize major medical facility projects for the Depart-
                                                                          ment of Veterans Affairs for fiscal year 2022, and for
                                                                          other purposes.

                                                                         1               Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-
                                                                         2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
                                                                         3     SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

                                                                         4               This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Fiscal Year 2022 Vet-
                                                                         5 erans Affairs Major Medical Facility Authorization Act’’.
                                                                         6     SEC. 2. AUTHORIZATION OF MAJOR MEDICAL FACILITY

                                                                         9               (a) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary of Veterans Affairs
                                                                       10 may carry out the following major medical facility projects

2 1 in fiscal year 2022 at the locations specified and in an 2 amount for each project not to exceed the amount speci- 3 fied for such location: 4 (1) Restoration and consolidation of the Gulf- 5 port Hospital in Biloxi, Mississippi, in an amount 6 not to exceed $341,500,000. 7 (2) Construction of a community living center 8 and renovation of domiciliary and outpatient facili- 9 ties in Canandaigua, New York, in an amount not 10 to exceed $443,900,000. 11 (3) Construction of a spinal cord injury center 12 in Dallas, Texas, in an amount not to exceed 13 $292,239,000. 14 (4) Construction of a new health care center in 15 El Paso, Texas, in an amount not to exceed 16 $150,000,000. 17 (5) Seismic corrections to the mental health 18 and community living center in Long Beach, Cali- 19 fornia, in an amount not to exceed $387,300,000. 20 (6) Construction of a new medical facility in 21 Louisville, Kentucky, in an amount not to exceed 22 $953,000,000. 23 (7) Construction of a new surgical intensive pamtmann on DSKBC07HB2PROD with BILLS 24 care unit and renovated operating rooms in Okla- •HR 7500 IH VerDate Sep 11 2014 22:50 Apr 14, 2022 Jkt 029200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H7500.IH H7500
3 1 homa City, Oklahoma, in an amount not to exceed 2 $47,564,000. 3 (8) Seismic retrofit and renovation of buildings 4 100 and 101 in Portland, Oregon, in an amount not 5 to exceed $20,000,000. 6 (9) Construction of a spinal cord injury build- 7 ing with a community living center, including a 8 parking garage, in San Diego, California, in an 9 amount not to exceed $262,100,000. 10 (10) Construction of a new research facility in 11 San Francisco, California, in an amount not to ex- 12 ceed $254,880,000. 13 (11) Replacement bed tower and clinical build- 14 ing expansion in St. Louis, Missouri, in an amount 15 not to exceed $135,340,000. 16 (12) Construction of a new critical care center 17 in West Los Angeles, California, in an amount not 18 to exceed $115,790,000. 19 (b) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.—There is 20 authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary of Veterans 21 Affairs for fiscal year 2022 or the year in which funds 22 are appropriated for the Construction, Major Projects ac- 23 count, $3,403,613,000 for the projects authorized in sub- pamtmann on DSKBC07HB2PROD with BILLS 24 section (a).
