A BILL
To amend the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 to authorize appropriations for the United States Fire Administration and firefighter assistance grant programs.
Short title
This Act may be cited as the Fire Grants and Safety Act

Reauthorization of the United States Fire Administration
Section 17(g)(1) of the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 (15 U.S.C. 2216(g)(1)) is amended—
in subparagraph (L), by striking and
;
in subparagraph (M)—
by striking for for
and inserting for
; and
by striking the period and inserting ; and
; and
by adding at the end the following:
$95,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2024 through 2030, of which $3,420,000 for each such fiscal year shall be used to carry out section 8(f).

Reauthorization of assistance to firefighters grants program and the fire prevention and safety grants program
Sunset
Section 33(r) of the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 (15 U.S.C. 2229(r)) is amended by striking 2024
and inserting 2032

Authorization of appropriations
Section 33(q)(1)(B) of the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 (15 U.S.C. 2229(q)(1)(B)) is amended, in the matter preceding clause (i), by striking 2023
and inserting 2030

Reauthorization of staffing for adequate fire and emergency response grant program

Section 34(k) of the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 (15 U.S.C. 2229a(k)) is amended by striking 2024
and inserting 2032

Section 34(j)(1)(I) of the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 (15 U.S.C. 2229a(j)(1)(I)) is amended, in the matter preceding clause (i), by striking 2023
and inserting 2030
