Be it enacted hy the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assemhled., That section 3(i) u. s. c o m m i s - sioners. of the Civil Service Retirement Act (5 U.S.C. 2253 (i)) is amended— Service credit. (1) by striking out in the first sentence thereof "on the basis 70 Stat. 746. of one three-hundred-and-thirteenth of a year for each day on which such United States Commissioner renders service in such capacity" and inserting in lieu thereof "on the basis of one three- hundred-and-thirteenth of a year for each day prior to J u l y 1, 1945, and one two-hundred-and-sixtieth of a year for each day
