6/24/1976--Passed Senate amended. (Measure passed Senate, amended) Authorizes appropriations for the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act of $13,000,000 for the fiscal year 1976 transitional period, $60,000,000 for the fiscal year 1977, and $60,000,000 for fiscal year 1978. Changes the effective date of the Federal motor vehicle safety standards applicable to school buses and their equipment from October 26, 1974, to April 1, 1977. Requires the Secretary of Transportation to study and report to the Congress on school bus accidents and methods to reduce them.
