4/13/1983--Introduced. Amends the Surface Transportation Assistance Act of 1982 to authorize the Secretary of Transportation to exempt segments of the Interstate Highway System from the requirement that commercial motor vehicle combinations consisting of a truck tractor and two trailing units (double bottom trucks) be allowed to operate on the National System of Interstate and Defense Highways and designated Federal- aid Primary System highways.
