He was previously the representative for Illinois’s 8th congressional district as a Republican from 1901 to 1903; the representative for Illinois’s 8th congressional district as a Republican from 1899 to 1901; the representative for Illinois’s 8th congressional district as a Republican from 1895 to 1899; the representative for Illinois’s 5th congressional district as a Republican from 1893 to 1895; the representative for Illinois’s 5th congressional district as a Republican from 1891 to 1893; the representative for Illinois’s 5th congressional district as a Republican from 1889 to 1891; the representative for Illinois’s 5th congressional district as a Republican from 1887 to 1889; and the representative for Illinois’s 5th congressional district as a Republican from 1885 to 1887.
