He was previously the representative for Illinois's 8th congressional district (1901-1903); the representative for Illinois's 8th congressional district (1899-1901); the representative for Illinois's 8th congressional district (1895-1899); the representative for Illinois's 5th congressional district (1893-1895); the representative for Illinois's 5th congressional district (1891-1893); the representative for Illinois's 5th congressional district (1889-1891); the representative for Illinois's 5th congressional district (1887-1889); and the representative for Illinois's 5th congressional district (1885-1887).
