Lonergan was a senator from Connecticut and was a Democrat. He served from 1933 to 1938.
He was previously the representative for Connecticut’s 1st congressional district as a Democrat from 1931 to 1933; the representative for Connecticut’s 1st congressional district as a Democrat from 1917 to 1921; and the representative for Connecticut’s 1st congressional district as a Democrat from 1913 to 1915.
