He was previously the representative for North Carolina’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1925 to 1927; the representative for North Carolina’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1923 to 1925; the representative for North Carolina’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1915 to 1923; and the representative for North Carolina’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1911 to 1915.
