Van Wyck was a senator from Nebraska and was a Republican. He served from 1881 to 1887.
He was previously the representative for New York’s 11th congressional district as a Republican from 1867 to 1871; the representative for New York’s 10th congressional district as a Republican from 1861 to 1863; and the representative for New York’s 10th congressional district as a Republican from 1859 to 1861.
