He was previously a senator from Virginia as a Democrat from 1910 to 1923; the representative for Virginia’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1905 to 1906; the representative for Virginia’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1903 to 1905; the representative for Virginia’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1901 to 1903; the representative for Virginia’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1899 to 1901; the representative for Virginia’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1895 to 1899; and the representative for Virginia’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1893 to 1895.
