Wade was the representative for Ohio’s 19th congressional district and was a Republican. He served from 1859 to 1861.

He was previously the representative for Ohio’s 19th congressional district as a Republican from 1857 to 1859; the representative for Ohio’s 19th congressional district as an Ind. Republican-Democrat from 1855 to 1857; and the representative for Ohio’s 19th congressional district as a Free Soil from 1853 to 1855.
