He was previously the representative for Missouri’s 2nd congressional district as a Democrat from 1875 to 1877; the representative for Missouri’s 2nd congressional district as a Democrat from 1873 to 1875; and the representative for Missouri’s 1st congressional district as a Democrat from 1869 to 1873.
