Maynard was the representative for Tennessee and was a Republican. He served from 1873 to 1875.
He was previously the representative for Tennessee’s 2nd congressional district as most recently a Republican (1867-1873) and previously an Unconditional Unionist (1865-1867) from 1865 to 1873; the representative for Tennessee’s 2nd congressional district as an Unionist from 1861 to 1863; the representative for Tennessee’s 2nd congressional district as an Ind. Republican-Democrat from 1859 to 1861; and the representative for Tennessee’s 2nd congressional district as an American from 1857 to 1859.
