Davidson was the representative for Wisconsin’s 6th congressional district and was a Republican. He served from 1917 to 1919.

He was previously the representative for Wisconsin’s 8th congressional district as a Republican from 1907 to 1913; the representative for Wisconsin’s 8th congressional district as a Republican from 1905 to 1907; the representative for Wisconsin’s 8th congressional district as a Republican from 1903 to 1905; the representative for Wisconsin’s 6th congressional district as a Republican from 1901 to 1903; the representative for Wisconsin’s 6th congressional district as a Republican from 1899 to 1901; and the representative for Wisconsin’s 6th congressional district as a Republican from 1897 to 1899.
