He was previously the representative for Alabama’s 1st congressional district as a Democrat from 1885 to 1887; the representative for Alabama’s 1st congressional district as a Democrat from 1883 to 1885; and the representative for Alabama’s 1st congressional district as a Democrat from 1877 to 1879.
