Farnsworth was the representative for Illinois’s 2nd congressional district and was a Republican. He served from 1865 to 1873.
He was previously the representative for Illinois’s 2nd congressional district as a Republican from 1863 to 1865; the representative for Illinois’s 2nd congressional district as a Republican from 1859 to 1861; and the representative for Illinois’s 2nd congressional district as a Republican from 1857 to 1859.
