He was previously the representative for North Carolina’s 2nd congressional district as a Democrat from 1927 to 1931; the representative for North Carolina’s 2nd congressional district as a Democrat from 1925 to 1927; and the representative for North Carolina’s 2nd congressional district as a Democrat from 1923 to 1925.
