He was previously a senator from Texas as a Democrat from 1901 to 1907; the representative for Texas’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1899 to 1901; the representative for Texas’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1895 to 1899; the representative for Texas’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1893 to 1895; and the representative for Texas’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1891 to 1893.
