He was previously a senator from Louisiana as a Democrat from 1913 to 1925; the representative for Louisiana’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1907 to 1913; the representative for Louisiana’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1905 to 1907; the representative for Louisiana’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1903 to 1905; the representative for Louisiana’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1901 to 1903; and the representative for Louisiana’s 5th congressional district as a Democrat from 1899 to 1901.
