Pitcher was the representative for New York’s 18th congressional district and was a Jackson. He served from 1831 to 1833.

He was previously the representative for New York’s 12th congressional district as a Republican from 1821 to 1823; and the representative for New York’s 12th congressional district as a Republican from 1819 to 1821.
