Guenther was the representative for Wisconsin’s 2nd congressional district and was a Republican. He served from 1887 to 1889.
He was previously the representative for Wisconsin’s 6th congressional district as a Republican from 1885 to 1887; the representative for Wisconsin’s 6th congressional district as a Republican from 1883 to 1885; and the representative for Wisconsin’s 6th congressional district as a Republican from 1881 to 1883.
