He was previously the representative for South Carolina’s 5th congressional district as a Republican from 1807 to 1811; the representative for South Carolina’s 5th congressional district as a Republican from 1805 to 1807; the representative for South Carolina’s 5th congressional district as a Republican from 1803 to 1805; the representative for South Carolina’s 4th congressional district as a Republican from 1801 to 1803; the representative for South Carolina’s 4th congressional district as a Republican from 1795 to 1797; and the representative for South Carolina’s 4th congressional district as a Republican from 1793 to 1795.
